BBNC Glee Club

Glee Club is a joyful,
energetic group of older adults who believe that singing is good for the heart,
good for the soul and even better when shared with friends!
Every Thursday, they
gather at the Birchmount Bluffs
Neighbourhood Centre for an hour filled with music, laughter,
friendship, and plenty of smiles. They choose the songs they love the ones that
bring back wonderful memories and make everyone want to sing along!
But the fun doesn t stop
at rehearsal. Glee Club loves taking their music into the community, performing
at the neighbourhood centre and local retirement homes and sharing the
happiness that comes from singing together.
For Glee Club, singing is
about connection, community, memories and joy. They prove that when we sing
together, we feel better together!

ALL SPICED, originally an All Female
Band was created by World Singing Day Toronto Host Dolly John-Currie in
2019. 
 
Since then the Band has performed in music festivals and
competed in the Ontario Public Service Govfest Music
Festival s Battle of Bands.  The Band is now turning up the heat with an all new spicy blend of new talent and adding more
 Spice  to the  All  with a mix of talented gals and guys. 
ALL SPICED is a  People s Band!  They choose music
people know and love and invite everyone to sing along!

Screenagers

The Screenagers is a Toronto-based Cover/Event Band featuring musicians like Daniel Debow, Joshua Skye Engel, and Sean Hillman. They frequently perform live sets such as their shows at the Burdock Music Hall and The Root Down focusing on covering iconic music from TV shows and movies through the decades.

confirming Yo as a master of her art All in all, the strange life of Yo
Vanderkley is one that is both intriguing and inspirational one that is not to
be overlooked.

Machiko's Line Dance Troupe

Machiko s Line Dance Troupe is a lively and enthusiastic group of line dancers based at the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre in Toronto. The group brings together people who share a love of music, dancing, friendship, and having fun!

The troupe meets twice a week to enjoy line dancing to a wonderful selection of music carefully chosen by Machiko. Each session provides an opportunity to learn new dances, practice familiar favourites, stay active, and enjoy the energy and camaraderie of dancing together.

Whether learning a new routine or dancing to a favourite song, the group creates a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere where everyone can participate, improve their skills, and most importantly have fun!

Machiko s Line Dance Troupe is more than just a dance group it is a community of enthusiastic dancers who enjoy music, movement, friendship, and the joy of dancing together.

Camillie

Foundations in R&B, Dance, Soul, Reggae have set the tone for Camillie. With recent released singles and in collaborated recordings or live performance with many, this artiste explores in musical genres people are still awakening to.

The Dukes of Harmony, founded in 1954, are a mixed 4-part harmony chorus based in Toronto, Canada, dedicated to performing in the traditional barbershop style while embracing contemporary influences. Over seven decades, they have grown from a small group of singers into a vibrant ensemble known for their exceptional vocal blend, energy, and commitment to musical excellence. Dolly (Dorothy) John-Currie is an award-winning event strategist, sponsorship leader, musician, and community builder with more than 40 years of experience in government, corporate, cultural, and community initiatives.
A retired member of the Ontario Public Service, she has planned and delivered conferences, festivals, concerts, sporting events, political campaigns, and community celebrations attended by thousands, including senior government officials, international dignitaries, and business leaders.
Dolly served as Director of Operations for the internationally recognized Legends of Cricket event at Rogers Centre, attended by more than 17,000 guests, and was honoured with the prestigious Legends of Cricket Trophy for her outstanding leadership.

She currently serves as Sponsorship Coordinator for GOVFEST Music Festival and is a passionate musician, singer-songwriter, and founder of community music initiatives including World Singing Day Toronto and the CARP Scarborough Songbirds Choir.
